PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guide device capable of guiding the direction to take at a crossing in accordance with a driver's sense. SOLUTION: The guide direction desired by the driver is received, and information on the crossing for guiding an exit road by using the guide direction (for example, crossing coordinate data), information on an approaching road to the crossing (for example, approaching road data) and information on an exit road from the crossing (for example, exit road data) are added to the received guide direction, and registered in a database as guide direction information. When guiding the exit road for the vehicle to travel at the crossing, the guide direction information corresponding to a combination of the approaching road and the exit road of the pertinent crossing is retrieved from inside the database, and the exit road of the crossing which is a guide object is guided by using the found guide direction in the guide direction information.
