PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the shapes of optical surfaces of an approximate globe with high precision. SOLUTION: A displacement measuring probe 30 is maintained vertical with respect to an optical test probe 14, by moving it about two rotary axes. A circle is traced in spaces, by relatively rotating about a first rotary axis 34, and a globular surface is formed by rotating about a second rotary axis 22. The rotational movement, between the displacement measuring probe and the optical test surface, defines the data surface of a globe shape or an approximate globe shape of an object that the measured values of the probe are to be acquired.
