The method involves having a pre-defined, lowering recurring position which can be started (8, 9) for a windowpane (6) between a closing position (7) and an open final position (8) which vary in such a manner, that different parts or sections of an adjustment drive interfere with one another. The windowpane is lowered into position and deviates into one of the pre-defined lowering position and has a given lowering range. An independent claim is included for a device for motion control of a windowpane in a motor vehicle door.
