The device has a screw mounting and placed by two opposite drillings of a banister pillar where the screw mounting with its thread is at a side of the pillar and into a cylindrical shaped part with an internal thread serving as a tightening nut. On the other side of the screw mountings a cup shaped case is provided having an internal thread and laterally passes through the opening over the tubing section pushed through the opening, into the pillar. The carrying case and staff are tightened by a nut with a key. The adjustment of the tightener takes place over appropriate cylindrical shaped parts at both sides and also at a side concave cylinder surfaces with the diameter of the banister adapted.
