DENTAL SYSTEM FOR INVESTIGATION OF OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF TOOTH WITH OPTICAL INVESTIGATION DEVICE AND CALIBRATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental system for surely obtaining an operation state of carrying out calibration for an optical investigation device under the same conditions at all times. SOLUTION: The dental system comprises the optical investigation device constituted as a handpiece including a diagnostic probe (10) for turning irradiation light to the region of a tooth to be investigated and receiving response light from the region of the tooth and a calibrator (50) provided with a reference member (52) to be irradiated with the irradiation light through the diagnostic probe (10) for carrying out the calibration for the optical investigation device. The calibrator (50) is provided with a notched part (53) to be a repository for the diagnostic probe (10) for holding the diagnostic probe (1o) in a defined position and/or orientation to the reference member (52).
