<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the strength of a hinge mechanism and/or to acquire performance of high strength without lowering accuracy in operation. <P>SOLUTION: The hinge mechanism comprises two sets of teeth 11, 12 coming into mutual engagement, and a reinforcing set of teeth 22 secured to the first set of teeth 11 and disposed set back slightly from the first set of teeth.
