PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound containing a metal complex and a fluorene compound containing metal complex and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The fluorene compound containing metal complex is represented by general formula (1). In the formula X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are each independently the same or different functional group with halogenous character, R<SP>1</SP>s and R<SP>2</SP>s are each independently the same or different univalent organic group. R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are each the same or different single bond or divalent organic group. At least one of R<SP>5</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>represents a region of the metal complex and the other represents the region for a univalent organic group or the metal complex and each may be the same or different. n1 is an integer of 0-3, n2 is an integer of 0-3.
