The invention relates to a distillation column, in particular, one that can be used for separated out high-boiling fractions, for example, for purifying 1,2-dichloroethane (EDC). As a result, impurities and/or byproducts whose boiling point differs only slightly from that of the product are separated out in a nearly quantitative manner in one part of the column. To this end, a vertical baffle plate is inserted into the column in order to achieve a sales EDC quality. |
