<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump drive mechanism having improved durability and no abnormal noises. <P>SOLUTION: The oil pump drive mechanism comprises an oil pump arranged at a position apart from the rotating shaft of a torque converter in the radial direction and a first sprocket and a second sprocket connected to each other via a chain for rotation around the rotating shaft and for driving the oil pump, respectively. Herein, a first cylindrical part is formed which is driven integrally with the rotating shaft of the torque converter at its outer periphery on the input side and fitted to the first sprocket and a second cylindrical part is formed as a fixed member on the inner periphery of the first cylindrical part. A first bearing and a second bearing are provided for supporting the first cylindrical part on the second cylindrical part and for supporting the first sprocket on the second cylindrical part, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
