PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply produce a precision optical plastic sheet which is relatively thick and needs a super-mirror plane, a precision shaping plane, etc. SOLUTION: A roll device which has molding rolls 25, 29, and 33 arranged to form prescribed clearances and continuously molds a molten resin supplied between the adjacent molding rolls into a sheet by the rotation of the molding rolls is equipped with a support which moves linearly in the diameter direction of the molding rolls and can be positioned and an auxiliary roll 41 which is supported rotatably by the support and arranged to form a prescribed roll clearance to the peripheral surfaces of the molding rolls by the linear movement and the positioning of the support.
