The magnetic resonance device (3) has a driven patient table (5) for movement of the patient into the imaging space (2) of the magnetic resonance device, provided with a coupling device (6) for coupling it with the gradient coil unit (1) upon movement in one direction, for common movement into the imaging space and uncoupling it from the gradient coil unit upon subsequent movement in this direction. An Independent claim for a gradient coil unit for a magnetic resonance device is also included.
