A tubular plastic bobbin is made in one piece and has an annular groove (1) for holding the yarn. The groove extends over at least 350 [deg] of the circumference and has transverse teeth (10) extending in a criss-cross manner from the side walls of the groove. The teeth are angled in different ways to ensure a good grip on the yarns to retain it.
