<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel (a dual view panel) in which a predetermined distance is put between a slit layer and a liquid crystal layer in the manufacturing step of the liquid crystal display panel itself without attaching another barrier substrate, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display panel 39 which comprises a liquid crystal 14 interposed between an AM (active matrix) substrate 11 equipped with a pixel electrode 22 and a counter substrate 12 equipped with a counter electrode 32, the slit layer 2 placed opposite to the AM substrate 11 is disposed on a glass substrate 31 for the counter side in the counter substrate 12 placed on the display side.
