PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the refrigerating capability of an evaporator with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This refrigerating plant comprises a refrigerant circuit 30 in which refrigerant is circulated for carrying out a refrigerating cycle, a cooling water circuit 40 for supplying cooling water to a condenser 33 in the refrigerant circuit 30, and a service side system 10 for supplying air cooled by the evaporator 20 in the refrigerant circuit 30 to the service side. Herein, a controller 50 is provided for controlling a motor operated valve 41 in the cooling water circuit 40 so that high pressure P in the refrigerating cycle is converged to set pressure Ps. The controller 50 has a control part 52 for converging the high pressure P in the refrigerating cycle to the set pressure Ps in accordance with a target converging speed Vs and a change part 51 for changing the target converging speed Vs of the control part 52 depending on a deviation dP between the high pressure P and the set pressure Ps.
