PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to realize downsizing and to be handled for its size in a digital camera in which a shooting lens and a display unit are provided together in a housing. SOLUTION: The digital camera 1 shoots, by means of image-taking elements, the image of a photographing subject imaged by a lens unit 7, and is equipped with the display unit 8 for displaying a stereophonic image formed from the shot image on a rectangular display screen 8a. Further, photographing parameters 8b display comprising characters whose sequence along a longitudinal direction of the display screen 8a have been changed into a vertical direction, and marks or the like are displayed on the display screen 8a of the display unit 8 together with the shot image.
