PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester resin for compression molding, which stably supplies a molten resin mass to a compression molding apparatus for a long period of time without forming accumulated materials in the retention means of a synthetic resin supplying apparatus and a conveying means such as a guide means, etc. SOLUTION: The polyester resin for compression molding comprises≤80 wt.% of a molecular-weight component having a polymerization degree between entanglement points or below.
