PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold detachably a decorative panel to a cabinet without causing an increase in the number of components in a portable electronic apparatus having electronic components such as a speaker embedded in the cabinet. SOLUTION: On the side of a cabinet 2 formed of synthetic resin having the electronic components embedded therein, a buffer member 5 formed of synthetic resin having a smaller elastic modulus than a cabinet material is integrally formed with the cabinet 2. On the surface of the cabinet 2, a panel disposition portion 29 is concavely provided, and a decorative panel 8 is detachably disposed on the panel disposition portion 29. A hook piece 84 protruding from the decorative panel 8 is pressure-contacted with the surrounding wall of an engaging hole 52 disposed on the ear 51 of the buffer member 5. By means of an elastic repulsive force received from the surrounding wall, the decorative panel 5 is retained on the panel disposition portion 29 of the cabinet 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
