PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a used umbrella is need to be carried in a wet state, and the wet umbrella gets people or articles therearound wet, and further may bring about accident due to slippery state caused by the wet umbrella at a platform, stairs, and a floor of a vehicle, and a wet foldable umbrella is also unpleasant to store in a bag or the like. SOLUTION: This umbrella includes a pocket on the back side of a canopy, the pocket is disposed between adjacent ribs and has a width from a rib to a folding line of the canopy, the opening of the pocket is directed to the outer peripheral edge of the canopy and further includes an opening/closing means such as a fastener, hook, button, hook and loop fastener, or the like, and the pocket is formed of a transparent material and houses a water-absorbing material therein.
