The sawhorse has three pairs of vertical retaining supports (9) and an auxiliary support (10) for a material to be sawed e.g. logs, where the auxiliary support is provided between the supports (9). The vertical supports are arranged parallel to one another and one behind the other. The direction of cut of the material falls longitudinally between the auxiliary support and a central retaining support along the length of the sawhorse.
