PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a tread of a tire made from a rubber composition. SOLUTION: The method for obtaining a tire tread made of a rubber composition (21) comprising a supporting surface (3), a groove (61) and a channel (5) located radially below the supporting surface of the tire tread comprises the process (a) for molding the tread (21), wherein the channel extends inside the groove (61) such that a plane (101) which is locally tangential to the part, radially external to the channel, of at least one of the side wall (15) into which the channel opens divides the channel into two parts (115, 215); and the process (b) of the ablation of at least part of the rubber composition molded around the channel inside the groove (61), with a cutting tool that follows the profile of the groove (61).
