<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively estimate quick parasympathetic activity at each one breath. <P>SOLUTION: A component in which reciprocal of breath cycle corresponding to one breath is the frequency is calculated, and the power is considered as the value of correlation between heart rate frequency and breath, and it is taken as strength of parasympathetic activity. Parasympathetic activity is considered that it has the function of giving a kind of relaxed state to the specific organ of a body, and this neural activity is characterized by quick activity, and if this activity can be estimated at each one breath, relaxation effect for the body can be estimated when health appliances are used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
