ELECTRONIC KEY SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND COMMUNICATION MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key system capable of maintaining a high security level without impairing convenience; a communication terminal suitably provided for its electronic key system; and a communication medium suitably provided for the electronic key system by being installed in its communication terminal.

SOLUTION: This electronic key system 1 has a cellular phone 2 and an operation control device 4. The operation control device 4 transmits a request signal for establishing bidirectional communication with the cellular phone 2. The cellular phone 2 transmits an ID code signal in response to the request signal. The operation control device 4 has a collating ECU 43 for permitting operation of a control object on condition that both ID codes coincide by the bidirectional communication with the cellular phone 2. The cellular phone 2 is attached with a memory card 3 for receiving the request signal of using a radio wave expressed by a signal LF in a radio wave law as a carrier wave.
