PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas alarm for dispensing with the new construction of any signal line, and for surely interrupting a gas feeding path when fire occurs and a security system using the gas alarm. SOLUTION: In a gas alarm 1, when a voice signal issued as fire warning from a fire alarm 3 is detected, and the cyclic information of the detected voice signal is detected, and whether or not the cyclic information shows fire warning is decided, and it is decided that the cyclic information shows the fire warning, an interrupting signal is outputted to a gas meter 1. Then, a gas feeding path to supply combustible gas is interrupted. Therefore, when fire occurs, it is possible to surely interrupt the gas feeding path, and it is possible for the gas alarm 2 to detect fire warning by using the voice signal.
