A method and apparatus for diversity switching control are generally described herein.The apparatus comprises : N antenna elements; and a diversity control network, coupled to the N antenna elements, including N/2 signal processing paths that are dynamically coupled with a select subset of the N antenna elements in response to control input received via the signal processing paths to facilitate the transmission/reception of wireless signals.
