IMAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, DIGITAL CAMERA, MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, AND PROGRAM FOR THEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image management system including a digital camera and a management apparatus wherein the management apparatus can automatically select and perform application processing based on a type of an object when processing image data photographed by the digital camera without the need for enforcing image confirmation and any particular operation on an operator.

SOLUTION: The digital camera 1 in the image management system selects a photographing mode based on the type of an object among a plurality of photographing modes prepared for types of the object, attaches information denoting the type of the object to image data photographed in the selected mode and transmits the resulting data to the management apparatus 3. Upon the receipt of the image data transmitted from the digital camera 1 together with the information denoting the type of the object, the management apparatus 3 selects and performs the application processing associated with the received information denoting the type of the object among a plurality of application processes prepared by types of the object.
