PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply form reference surfaces D1 and D for the correction machining of wood W having a twist. SOLUTION: A ridge A is formed on a caterpillar 13 for forming the wood feed surface of a wood feed mechanism and the wood W is fed so that the center line C in the width direction of the wood W is aligned with the ridge A. The cutting quantity (x) of the wood W is set so that the cutting surface of the wood W becomes the upper surface or above of the ridge A to cut the under surface of the wood W.
