PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic cell in which uniformity of color changes can be improved, and to provide a method for manufacturing the cell. SOLUTION: In the electrochromic cell 10, the distance L from a terminal 18 to a terminal 20, the conductivityσof an electrochromic solution 16, each surface resistance R of a pair of transparent electrodes 12, and the gap h between the pair of transparent electrodes are controlled to satisfyα≤2, whereinαis defined by formula (1). Thus, uniformity of the voltage distribution on the electrochromic solution 16 is improved, which further improves the uniformity of coloring. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
