PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method and assembling tool of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission, preventing forgetting to detach an assembling tool in an input side disk unit. SOLUTION: This assembling tool 40 includes: an input shaft 1 to which the turning force is input; an input side disk 3 connected to the input shaft 1 to be rotated in a body with the input shaft 1; and a loading cam type pressing device 12 disposed at the backside of the input side disk 2 and pressing the input side disk 2 in the axial direction, wherein the click part 31 of the loading cam 12a of the pressing device 12 is assembled to the input side disk unit A of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission fitted to an engagement part 32 of a driving shaft 22. The assembling tool has an engagement preventing part 40c, covering at least a part of the click part 31 of the loading cam 12a in the state of being assembled to the input side disk unit A to thereby prevent engagement of the click part 31 and the engagement part 32 of the driving shaft 22.
