摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sound weld metal with high efficiency in one side submerged arc welding performed using three electrodes or four electrodes. SOLUTION: In the one side submerged arc welding method performed using flux for backing and using three electrodes or four electrodes, the material to be welded has a groove in a V-shape with an bevel angle of 35 to 60°, and the inside of the groove is filled with steel grains or iron powder from the 1/3 of the sheet thickness of the material to be welded to the height of the surface of the material to be welded, so as to be welded. Further, the welding is performed in such a manner that the wire size of each electrode is controlled to≥4.8 mm, the electric current (I1) of the first electrode is controlled to 1,200 to 2,000 A, the electric current (I2) of the second electrode and the electric current (I3) of the third electrode are applied so as to satisfy I1>I2≥I3, also the distance between the first electrode and the second electrode is controlled to 20 to 70 mm, the distance between the second electrode and the third electrode is controlled to 100 to 150 mm in the case of the three electrode welding, and to 150 to 300 mm in the case of the four electrode welding.
