PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a thread motor from being fallen off from a chassis due to vibration or shocks. SOLUTION: This disk recording and/or play-back device 101 is provided with a chassis 103 for supporting a holder 102 to house a disk 1, and a recording/reproducing means 104 attached to the chassis 3 to execute recording/reproducing. The recording/reproducing means 104 is provided with a spindle motor 151 for rotating the disk 1, an optical pickup 152 for recording/reproducing information in the optical disk 1, and a thread motor 153 for moving the optical pickup 152. The chassis 103 is provided with a motor falling-off preventing member 211 for preventing the further movement of the motor when the spindle motor 151 and/or the thread motor 153 falls off from the chassis 103.
