摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent performance deterioration on a low load side in a fuel injection system for a diesel engine. SOLUTION: A fuel valve 28 connected to a common rail 25 has: a pair of injection holes 31, 31 for high load and low load having different diameters; a pair of fuel inlet ports 36, 36 communicated with the injection holes 31; and opening/closing means 35, 35 each intervened in a route connecting the injection holes and the fuel inlet ports. An ECU 42 determines the load condition of the engine by receiving the load of the engine and the detected signals of rotary sensors 43, 44, and selects one of the opening/closing means. Not only for a high load region, but also by automatically changing over to the injection hole on the low load side at the time of low load, fuel economy, smoke, and exhaust emission on the low load side is improved.
