<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of securing rotation transmission accuracy among input/output axes with simple constitution, having high durability and realizing the prevention of the fall-off of a joint. <P>SOLUTION: A color printer 1 forms an image by attaching an attachable/detachable image forming unit 30, and has a gear 43 which receives rotary driving force to the image forming unit 30 and also where an abutting hole 47 having a polygonal cross section is formed on the image forming unit 30 side, a joint 45 whose one end is positioned in the abutting hole 47, which receives the rotary driving force from the gear 43 and also transmits the rotary driving force to the image forming unit 30, which has a polygonal cross section, and on whose side surface a side projecting part 45d is formed, and a fall-off preventing part 48b which is provided in the abutting hole 47 and on which the side projecting part 45d abuts from the inside when the joint 45 tends to fall off from the abutting hole 47. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
