<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an electronic musical instrument with which the value of parameter is appropriately set by an operator. <P>SOLUTION: When the kind of a music parameter is in the case of expression, a changing speed UP for the increasing case of a music parameter value is set to 90 and a changing speed DOWN for the decreasing case of the music parameter value is set to 30, respectively. Therefore, when the expression selected as a mode and an operation is conducted toward the direction in which a pedal 15 is stepped into, a present parameter value PC is quickly changed to set to a target parameter value PT.
