he number plate embossing machine in question is mainly destined for mass-producing number plates with programmable numbering thereof. It is composed of a pneumatic press 1 of special construction having a stem specifically configurated to cooperate with the numbering mechanism 3,4,5,6. A supply mechanism 2 set at the operator's side propels the number plates into the press jaws in order that said number plates may be embossed with numbers. At the rear side of the press, an automatic numberingmechanism 3,4,5,6 is adapted. The operator merely propels the plate numbers to the supply mechanism 2 while the change of numbers is automatically effected successively, every second push until the programmed serial numbers are embossed on the number plates. The basic advantage of the invention is high productivity and protection against unprogrammed, illegal, or by-fault produced number plates; the productivity-and-protection combination shows the practical value of the invention. |
