A window unit comprising a window frame, a sash slideable in said frame between a closed and open position, a sealing material mounted on one of the sash and frame to form a seal between the sash and the frame when the said is closed, and cooperating means between opposite end of the sash and the frame to move the sash laterally towards the frame as the sash is closed to positively compress the sealing material between the sash and frame. |
