The present invention relates to a sandwich panel (10) comprising opposite top and a bottom layers (2, 3) of a fibrous reinforcing material which sandwich between them a core (1), the top layer (2) being fastened to a top face (11) of the core (1), the bottom layer (3) being fastened to a bottom face (12) of the core. The sandwich panel (10) comprises at least one insert (9) which extends in height direction of the panel (10) and in at least one of the longitudinal and transversal direction of the panel (10).
