PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric razor which has a head unit supported afloat on a main body case so that it can tilt and prevents noise caused by a direct contact of the lower end of the head unit with the rim of the upper end opening of the main body case. SOLUTION: In this kind of the electric razor, a gap S which allows a head unit 2 tilt is formed between the upper end opening rim of a main body case 1 and the head unit 2. A cylindrical elastic cover 101 is disposed from an inside of the lower end of the head unit 2 to the inside of the upper end of the main body case 1 so as to seal the gap S. Then, even when the head unit 2 is operated to tilt to the tilting limit on the main body case 1, the lower end does not directly contact with the rim of the upper end opening of the main body case 2, and it can certainly eliminate jarring noise like tick-tack caused by a contact of the lower end of the head unit 2 with the rim of the upper end opening of the main body case 1.
