PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform smooth reproduction without requiring much time for reading of data. SOLUTION: An electronic camera includes a plus-shaped key for setting a reproduction frame number; a system controller 5 performing processing of forming a group of image data present in 100 frames in the direction of increasing the frame number from frame No. 1 as a reproduction list A and a group of image data present in 100 frames in the direction of decreasing the frame number from the largest frame No. N as a reproduction list B, reproducing image data of the reproduction frames in the reproduction list A in case of setting the frame number in the decreasing direction from the frame No. 1 during reproduction of image data in the reproduction list A, and reproducing image data of the reproduction frames in the reproduction list A in case of setting the frame number in the increasing direction from the largest frame No. N during reproduction of the image data in the reproduction list B; and the like.
