PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy used for fixing by generating no wrinkle on an image carrier, without simultaneously performing fixing and conveyance by sandwiching the image carrier (paper) over the entire width directional face, in order to solve the problem possessed by the conventional technology. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of divided pushing means for selectively generating pushing and a conveying means for feeding and ejecting the image carrier to a pushing part, by the pushing means by premising the image forming apparatus fixing an image forming substance on the image carrier by pushing.
