The rear surface of the backrest of the front seats of a vehicle is frequently soiled by the shoes of a child seated in the fond. The cover (1) is fitted with a loop (2) to be hung over the headrest of the seat and a vertically and a horizontally positioned strip of Velcro(RTM) (3) to be joined to complementary strips at the backrest. In a second version the headrest holding bars can be pushed through openings provided in the cover (1).
