<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for protecting a screw, preventing damage of surface treatment applied to the surface of a male screw or a female screw in the tube end part of a tube material, especially preventing the surface treatment applied to a guide flank face, a load flank face and the corner part from being worn away and damaged. <P>SOLUTION: This protector protects the female screw in the tube material having the female screw in which a trapezoidal screw is formed at the tube end part.
