PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the point at issue that the electric resistance of a magnetic reluctance effect is changed by the magnetized state of two magnetic films in the detection device for performing detection using a magnetic reluctance effect film using magnetic particles as labelling particles but, in a case that the region reversed in magnetization within the magnetic film reversible in magnetization is a part of the magnetic film, the magnetic reluctance effect becomes smaller than a case that the whole of the magnetic film reversible in magnetization is reversed in magnetization, that is, in a case that the particle size of the magnetic particles is small and the region reversed in magnetization of the magnetic reluctance effect film is markedly small, the change quantity of electric resistance is small and detection is difficult. SOLUTION: In the detection device, the magnetic particles are used as the labelling particles and the ratio of the area of the region reversed in magnetization to the total area of the free layer of the magnetic reluctance effect film is made large by the floating magnetic field generated from the magnetic particles remaining on the surface of the magnetic reluctance effect film by biochemical reaction not only to obtain a large detection signal but also to stably preserve the acquired detection data.
