<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone with a receiver for broadcasting which can change the polarization of an antenna, respon to various service condition and which has high sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: An antenna element 1 and an antenna element 2 are arranged by crossing at 90°in an upper housing 3. A signal, received by the antenna element 1, is inputted into a power distribution unit 9 through a phase shift circuit 8, and a signal received by the antenna element 2 is inputted directly to the power distribution unit 9. The received signal combined with the power distribution unit 9 is inputted into a television receiving circuit 10. The detected output of an angle sensor 11 is inputted to a control circuit 12, and the control circuit 12 controls the amount of the phase shift circuit 8, according to the detection result of the angle sensor 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
