<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a computer algorithm for accurately and speedily detecting the position of a palindromic structure, which exhibits repetition in reverse direction in a single strand of a genome array and which is identical when seen from the front side and from the rear side, in a gene manipulation or a regenerative medical treatment since the palindromic structure is specifically recognized by enzymes, miRNA and siRNA and could be a cut part. <P>SOLUTION: In order to speedily analyze a large capacity array with five million bases or more, a palindromic structure not including gaps or non-conformance is detected. In order to detect a palindromic structure wherein a first palindromic piece and a second palindromic piece are complimentarily coupled via a hairpin type non-palindromic section in the middle, a means for performing three processes of a complementary pair total check process, a minimum palindrome length testing process and a palindrome extending process is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
