PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pitching apparatus endurable to pitching out of balls in relative high speed. SOLUTION: The pitching apparatus 10 has a base 20, a rotary disk 20, a motor 50, and a ball tank 60. A plurality of through holes 32 are provided to a rotary disk 30, the respective through holes 32 are formed so that balls pass through. A guide grooves 25 shaped in a C-shape along the rotary trajectories of the through holes 32 and guiding out grooves 26 extending from the end portions of the guide grooves 25 in a tangential direction of the rotary trajectory of the through holes 32 in the upper face of the base 20. The guide grooves 25 are shaped so that the lower part of balls fits into the same. The distance from the lower face of the rotary disk 30 to the bottom of the guide grooves 25 is slightly larger than the diameter of balls. The ball pushing and pressing portion is disposed in the rear portion in a rotary direction of the rotary disk 30 in the lower face of the rotary disk viewing from the respective through holes 32. The distance from the lower direction of the respective ball pushing and pressing portions 35 to the bottoms of the guide grooves 25 is smaller than the diameter of balls.
