FUNCTIONAL ELEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional element allowing a gas barrier property of a gas barrier layer to be easily evaluated; and to provide its manufacturing method.

SOLUTION: In order to accomplish the above purpose, this application provides this functional element characterized by including a base material, the gas barrier layer formed on the base material and having a refractive index changing with change of a gas barrier property, and a marker part formed so as to contact the gas barrier layer for inspecting the refractive index of the gas barrier layer.
