PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve system of an engine equipped with a valve drive member interlocked and connected to an engine valve, a swing cam rockable to actuate the valve drive member to a side where the engine valve is driven, a cam shaft having a valve system cam, a movable spindle capable of holding an arbitrary position within a prescribed range while allowing deformation in a prescribed range on a plane orthogonal to the swinging axial line of the swing cam and an axial line of the cam shaft, and a link mechanism which has a cam abutting part abutting to the valve system cam at a midway and is provided between the movable spindle and the swing cam, wherein the swing cam can be easily assembled. SOLUTION: A spindle 35 for rockably supporting a swing cam 42 is arranged in parallel with a cam shaft 32 at a position separated from the cam shaft 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
