PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emission display device whereby a distortion phenomenon of an image is prevented and arcing is not caused. SOLUTION: This electron emission display device is equipped with a front panel provided with a front substrate 20, an anode electrode 22 formed on one side of the front substrate 20, and a fluorescent layer 24, a back panel provided with a back substrate 10 disposed face to face with the front substrate with a prescribed space kept between them, an electron emitting part 18a formed on the back substrate 10, and at least one driving electrode 12, 16 to control electron emission from the electron emitting part 18a, a sealing member 28 used for sealing the front panel and the back panel, and at least one or more dielectric layers 28a provided in the sealing member 28 while having a dielectric constant lower than that of the sealing member 28. Thereby, the waveform distortion phenomenon of an impressed voltage and arcing are prevented from being caused by charges accumulated in the upper and lower parts of the sealing member 28.
