PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitation type heating apparatus capale of enhancing an agitation efficiency. SOLUTION: This heating apparatus 1, which is provided with a casing 40 for storing a carbonized material, a screw conveyer 50 for agitating the carbonized material in the casing 40, and a heater (a heating means) 60 for heating the carbonized material in the casing 40, is provided with first and second outside ribbon screws 51, 52 rotated along an inner wall of the casing 40 for sending the carbonized material to the shaft direction and first and second inside ribbon screws 53, 54 rotated respectively inside the first and second outside ribbon screws 51, 52 to the same directions as those of the first and second outside ribbon screws 51, 52 for sending the carbonized material to the shaft direction. The carbonized material is circulated by making the twist directions of the first and second outside ribbon screws 51, 52 respectively opposite to those of the first and second inside ribbon screws 53, 54 arranged respectively inside the first and second outside ribbon screws 51, 52.
