A roof structure is centrally arranged relative to a mast pipe (12). Solar panels (40) supply power to an opening/closing mechanism that opens and closes the roof structure based on an opening or closing signal, respectively, from a controller. The controller switches a ready condition OFF after a time interval upon output of the closing signal to prevent power consumption when the roof structure is closed. An independent claim is also included for a shield apparatus.
